Eid Adha OR better known here in Singapore as Hari Raya Haji or Hari Raya Korban is a celebration that gets clouded with misconception with distractions from other bigger and much anticipated festive occasions like Christmas or even Hari Raya Puasa (Eid Fitri).
Muslims in Singapore celebrate Eid Adha on 20 December 2007 with the slaughtering of sheeps whose meat are donated to the less fortunate. Eid Adha is celebrated worldwide to commemorate the sacrifice made by Prophet Abraham who was ready to submit to God's command, to the extent of even losing his own son, Prophet Ismail.
To learn a bit more on the celebration, view the video HERE. It is a production by NYPMSN, led by their chairman, Bro Firdaus Abd Latif, to bring Eid Adha (Hari Raya Haji) to the limelight.
